A New Journey Begins: The First Graduates of BINUS SCHOOL Semarang Are Ready to Face Global Challenges

As globalization accelerates, young people continue to face a variety of global challenges, including digitalization, technological advancement, and environmental as well as social issues. Therefore, youth need to be equipped with the readiness to confront these challenges. BINUS SCHOOL Semarang, a school under the BINA NUSANTARA network, is committed to nurturing and preparing students to become individuals who are ready to answer the demands of the world.

This readiness was showcased during the first graduation ceremony of BINUS SCHOOL Semarang, held on Saturday (May 10, 2025). At this inaugural graduation, BINUS SCHOOL Semarang celebrated students who are equipped to take on global challenges.

BINUS SCHOOL Semarang has become one of the schools that quickly adapts to the current digital era, offering a wide array of facilities and a globally standardized curriculum. With the Cambridge curriculum, a globally recognized educational standard, BINUS SCHOOL Semarang provides numerous resources to support students’ development. One such facility is the Active Floor, which utilizes AI technology to stimulate students’ senses through audio, visual, and kinesthetic engagement.

Additionally, BINUS SCHOOL Semarang supports student interests and talents by offering a variety of Clubs and Electives tailored to each student’s passion and potential.

Elsie L. Bait, Principal of BINUS SCHOOL Semarang, congratulated the school’s first graduating class and expressed hope that they will become a resilient generation with integrity and the ability to bring positive change amid ongoing global challenges.

“We are proud to witness the first steps of our students, who are now ready to face the global stage with knowledge, character, and leadership spirit. This is not just a farewell moment, but the beginning of their grand journey as global citizens who carry the values of goodness and innovation,” said Elsie.

Elsie added that during their education at BINUS SCHOOL Semarang, students were equipped not only with academic learning but also with the Binusian Values, known as S.P.I.R.I.T — Striving for Excellence, Perseverance, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork.

Kenneth, one of BINUS SCHOOL Semarang’s outstanding students, shared some of his experiences at the school, which included participating in community service activities. These experiences taught students to witness firsthand the real challenges faced by different segments of society.

“One of the most memorable moments was when I represented Indonesia at the prestigious 16th Hwa Chong – Asia Pacific Young Leaders’ Summit. During the summit, my team and I discussed mental health issues and proposed innovative solutions, an effort that earned us the Best Presentation Award,” he explained.

This graduation ceremony stands as a testament to BINUS SCHOOL Semarang’s commitment to preparing its students to face global challenges. Going forward, BINUS SCHOOL Semarang will continue to produce future generations with leadership skills and integrity, who can make a meaningful impact on society, in line with BINA NUSANTARA’s vision to educate and empower the community.
