BINUS SCHOOL Semarang’s Outreach Program Helps Children in Conflicted-Affected Areas

The Student Council of BINUS SCHOOL Semarang recently organized an outreach program at Yayasan Panti Asuhan Eunike, a shelter that provides a home for children from conflict-affected areas in Papua. The main goal of this program was to create a positive impact on the lives of these children and to encourage the students to engage in meaningful community service.

The program involved a range of immersive activities that allowed the students to build strong connections with the children, such as helping them tidy up their rooms, reading books to them, and sharing stories.

The program enabled the students to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by these children, such as limited access to education and basic needs. Through this experience, they developed empathy, compassion, and a sense of responsibility toward their community.

The outreach program at Yayasan Panti Asuhan Eunike was a fulfilling experience for everyone involved, as the children enjoyed spending time with the students and the students were able to make a positive impact on their lives.

Apart from being a meaningful community service initiative, the outreach program at Yayasan Panti Asuhan Eunike also aligned with the vision of BINUS SCHOOL Education. The school aims to foster and empower society by developing students who have the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to make a positive impact on society. By participating in the outreach program, the students were able to put their skills and knowledge into action and contribute towards the development of the society.

This program also helped the students to recognize their potential to make a difference in the world. It provided them with an opportunity to develop their leadership skills, creativity, and critical thinking abilities. Additionally, the program enabled the students to appreciate and respect the diverse cultures and experiences of the children they worked with, promoting a sense of global citizenship and cultural awareness.
